Social Blogroll Plugin for WordPress

This is a cool plugin! Not only is the Social Blogroll plugin a great way to share some blog love between friends, but it is a great way to see when your favorite blogs have been updated! It is based off of your blogroll, so it is super easy to use.  I love having all of my favorites at my fingertips!

Another thing I like is that because it is based off of your blogroll, you can separate your feeds into categories! I love this feature.  It gives me the appearance of being organized.

It has different settings for how you would like your blogroll to show up in your sidebar. One option was a scrolling feed.  That one gave me motion sickness in about two seconds. There were a few other options that allowed you to post how long ago the blog had been updated with a new post. What a great way to shame me into updating my blog regularly!

Read all about it here: http://www.weinschenker.name/plugin-feed-reading-blogroll/ and here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/feed-reading-blogroll/,

It is an easy install, just be sure to take not that some of the file permissions will need to be changed before you activate it, and then changed back when you finish. Another thing is to be sure that you are using a Google API and not a WordPress API. It will not pull the feeds if you do not have the right one.  Click here if you need a Google API: How to Get a Google API.

About Extraordinary in the Ordinary

I am a professional photographer who lives and works from her heart. My goal is always and in everything to be better today than I was yesterday. I’m an ordinary person dealing with what I like to believe are ordinary issues, but in all the ordinary days, I want to live an extraordinary life. I am the mom to two grown sons, and there has been nothing I have loved more than being their mom and being home with them. And while you are always a mom, there is a certain part of that time in my life that is over now that they are grown. I miss hearing them play and having them with me all the time and having all their friends over, but it is time to move to the next stage of life or at least trying to figure out what that is. I am making a list of personal goals, connecting with friends, and still nesting even though the children are grown. I think I will always be a "nester". Home is where the heart is. I love home and love making it a healing place of peace and comfort.
